Spring is a comin'
Spring is in the air up here in Vermont. The sap has started running and my driveway looks like a swamp. All of these things point to a future of savory smoke, fire and sizzling meat.
I'm on my way to my butcher's to pick up the first big meats I've been able to cook in about four months. Life has been too full to give me the time to practice, but Sunday I make the shift back into that groove (thank God).
I'll be sitting down filling out contest application forms shortly. We're going to try to do three competitions this year and by golly, we're going to try to win!
I look forward to picking up this blog where I left off last fall. Cross your fingers. I might just do what I mean to.
Cheers,
Chris

Good luck my friend.
Any chance Cape Cod is on your list? I'm thinking about cooking that one or at least judging it. It all depends on my daughter's finals exams.
But the check has already been sent to Hudson Valley Ribfest - A highly recommended contest!
