Not Barbecue - But Good
This isn't related to barbecue, since I don't have the $$ to do any at the moment. But, it is related to playing with food and, of course, there's bacon in it so it must be good.
Farmer Girl and I have been batting the idea of apple bacon doughnuts for months. This morning we decided to give that a whirl, but after looking at the King Arthur Cookbook for a while we settled on fritters instead of doughnuts. Here are the results, and they're damned good.
